Road construction updates:

Traffic Advisory – Hellman Avenue: there will be a major street construction on Hellman Avenue (south of the 10 freeway) from Jackson Avenue (west end of city limits) east and westbound to Walnut Grove Avenue.  The project will extend for six weeks (November 1=-December 15, 2010) and affect intersections at Avenue, Del Mar Avenue, San Gabriel Avenue, and Walnut Grove Avenue.
According to Rosemead’s Public Safety Department “The condition of the street pavement has gradually deteriorated though the years. The City's Pavement Management System identified Hellman Ave. as a street in high need of rehabilitation. The purpose of the project is to significantly improve the pavement quality of the street, enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety in the area, improve wheelchair access and enhance the overall neighborhood aesthetics.
